Veterinary Cardiology

Your pet has captured your heart, but who’s looking out for your pet’s heart? The cardiology specialist at CRVS will make your pet’s heart health their top priority. By focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in dogs and cats, we can help your pet live a longer, healthier and more active life. In doing so, our specialist augments the cardiovascular care that your family veterinarian provides. We serve as your resource—and your family veterinarian’s resource—for more complex cases and conditions that require specialized diagnoses and care.

Columbia River VetERinary Specialists works in collaboration with Dr. Rausch and Portland Cardiology. Patients are seen at CRVS and appointments are scheduled through Dr. Rausch’s office at Portland Cardiology. Please call 503-869-1136 for a cardiology appointment.

Dr. Rausch has authored and co-authored papers in the Journal of Veterinary Cardiology, the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine.  His clinical focus is on maintaining the best possible quality of life in dogs and cats with heart disease.

In his free time he enjoys cycling, cooking and eating, and he can also be found playing in a local bluegrass band.
