Dr. Andreas Bachelez

Dr. Andreas Bachelez comes from a wide diverse background. Born and raised in Paris, France;  he obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the National Veterinary School of Lyon. He discovered North America during Vet school while on an exchange program with the University of Montreal, Canada; and while doing several externships in the USA. He chose to continue his education and career far away from home, completed a rotating internship at the University of Montreal and a surgical specialty internship at the DMV Veterinary Medical Center in Montreal. He then went to Washington State University for a three year surgical residency.

Dr. Bachelez became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2012 and Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2013. He spent two years at WSU as an instructor and an assistant professor. Most recently he has served as a clinical assistant professor of small animal surgery and assistant hospital director at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. His main professional interests are in orthopedic surgery, general surgery, advanced soft tissue and oncologic surgery and arthroscopy.

Dr. Bachelez and his fiancee Nicole were quick to realize that there is no place like the Northwest to call home; and are happy to be reunited with the friends, family and strong ties they made during their years in Washington.

During his free time Dr. Bachelez enjoys the outdoors, fly fishing and tying, boat building, playing the piano and spending time with friends, family and Jigs – their white miniature schnauzer.

Dr. Bachelez is available Wednesday through Saturday 8am – 6pm.
